What Epoch Is

Epoch is an intent execution and solver coordination layer for modern finance — starting in Web3 and expanding toward any onchain financial outcome.

  • Users and applications submit declarative intents (desired outcomes).

  • Purpose-specific solvers (DEX, bridge, earn, multiprotocol) compete and compose to fulfill intents.

  • Settlement occurs through smart contract wallets with the Epoch Module (ERC-7579), including Safe integration.

  • Epoch provides orchestration — pathing, solver discovery, transaction bundling, and multi-chain coordination — not custody.

Epoch is middleware between wallets, agents, dApps, and the infrastructure underneath: chains, bridges, protocols, liquidity networks, route aggregators, and emerging financial products.

Rebranded Epoch Protocol → Epoch.

Long-term thesis

The opportunity is much larger than swaps and bridges.

Users do not want chains, bridges, protocols, or specific products — they want access to an outcome: stablecoins, tokenized treasuries, prediction markets, yield, RWAs, commodities, equities-onchain, etc.

Users know what they want. They don't want to figure out how to get there.

Positioning (2026): Rails for modern and changing finance — one coordination layer where the user expresses an outcome and Epoch coordinates the path.

The "single click" frame. Any player in finance — dApps, RWA issuers, payment systems, near-banks, wallets, institutions, agents — can use Epoch to give users access to any financial outcome in one click, regardless of where the user's value starts:

  • Any source of funds — fiat (card, bank transfer, SWIFT, CEX like Coinbase/Binance) or any token on any chain (down to a meme coin).

  • Any destination outcome — a position on Polymarket/Hyperliquid, a minted RWA, a yield vault, a stablecoin on a specific chain, a merchant payment.

  • Outcome stacking — outcomes compose: e.g. mint RWA gold → issue RWA-USD against it → deploy RWA-USD into lending/yield → borrow to open a trading position, all coordinated by Epoch.

Business model. Epoch takes a small fee (target ~1 bip / 0.01%) on transaction volume routed through it. Value scales with volume, so the priority is high-volume partners and recurring flows.

Validated through conversations across Hong Kong, Taiwan, San Francisco, and NYC with builders, wallets, institutions, and AI teams. Recurring theme: products move onchain fast; coordination and user abstraction remain unsolved.

Market view: despite global uncertainty, capital flows to teams with real products. Increasing institutional interest, higher-quality conversations, less noise — favors serious builders with fundamentals.
